Learning in the Library Blog:

The Secondary Library is Buzzing with Excitement

Published Thursday, February 24, 2011.

I am sitting amongst packing boxes updating this blog. We are almost all packed up and ready to go to the new library building. I must say though, that the library team, who have worked here many many years are becoming a little misty eyed as they are clearing out their cupboards and taking a trip down memory lane! Hour by hour the building progress is visibly being made in the new library as walls are painted, floors are swept and final planning takes place.

We are hoping to be in the library to celebrate World Book Day on the 3rd March.

As advertised in Daily Notices and the Patana Newsletter the current library is closed. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but it will be worth it once we are in our amazing new premises. Students who don't have ECAs should go home after school. We do, though, want to be flexible, so in order to help students, who need to wait in school for younger siblings who are completing ECAs, I have booked COM 5 as a space where students who might usually be in the library can go to do their homework.

Looking forward to seeing you all in our lovely new library building.

Sal
