Rugby World Cup 2011
Dear Creative Writers,
This week I thought it would be appropriate to set you a writing challenge that linked to the Rugby World Cup which is being played at the moment in New Zealand.
Imagine YOU are in the final, representing your country watched by a stadium packed full of supporters. It is the final few minutes of the game and the score is tied. Will you score the winning try or kick the winning conversion? It's a very emotional moment- express this in your writing (but keep to 100 words)!
And remember both GIRLS and BOYS can play rugby!
This week your task is to somehow include this sentence in the MIDDLE of your piece of writing.
.......and suddenly it appeared in front of me a walking, talking human sized calculator............
It would be nice to find out how it came to be there and what will happen next (all in only 100 words)- BE CREATIVE!
Miss Kiri & Mr Goligher
An amazing classroom!
Welcome back everyone!
Here is the first Story Challenge for the 2011-12 school year. We hope you enjoy showing us how imaginative and creative you can be, with only 100 words of course!
Miss Kiri and Mr Goligher
Finally we were back at school, yipee! However as I walked into my new classroom I couldn't believe my eyes because there in front of me was..............
This week your 100 word story must somehow include this sentence about discovering a code and you must explain what it means:
It was amazing! I had found a mysterious code that read: you have found treasure
This week, instead of giving you the start of a story we are giving you the ending.
This sentence must end your story ...
'...finally I found it, my quest was over.'
Good luck and enjoy writing!
Journey of Kindness
This week the title of your story should be
"Journey of Kindness".
Good luck you super writers!
This week your 100 word story must include these 6 words:
Horse, toothpaste, rocket, jelly, sunhat, bubblegum.
Be as creative and imaginative as you can!
This week, within your story you must include this sentence:
"I really couldn't understand why this was happening to me"
You can include this anywhere in the story, it doesn't have to be at the start but must appear somewhere within the 100 words.
This lovely monster must appear somewhere within your story. It's up to you how it appears. Remember 100 words!
The Ice Palace...
Part of your story should take place in or around a Ice Palace. Remember 100 words only!
