3D Letter Challenge
Year 7 Art students have been challenged to work collaboratively to investigate process and create a 3D letter.
After previously looking at techniques in drawing 3D letters and words, during today’s lesson Year 7 Art students came together in groups to investigate how to turn a 3D drawing of a letter into a 3D model. The task challenged students to collaborate, communicate, problem solve and evaluate – all vital skills for the modern world.
The students began by investigating different processes for creating the model, before going on to plan their process, prepare materials and create the 3D model. Finally, students evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of their approach, as a group, and then as a class. This will enable students to now move forward in the project to create their own individual piece of 3D art work.
