Year 4 Explore the Cambodian Jungle

Whilst out collecting insects in the Cambodian jungle in 1860, French naturalist Henri Mouhot stumbled upon the ruins of the lost city of Angkor Wat. A city that had lain abandoned and forgotten for over 400 years. Yesterday Year 4 re-created his unforgettable experience. First, trekking through the dense jungle; glimpsing sight of something intriguing in the distance; moving closer and excitedly exploring the ruins; before finally recording the adventure for prosperity.

This immersive, drama-based experience will act as the stimulus for a week long creative writing project and equip Year 4 students with deeper historical understanding for their upcoming Residential Visit to the Khmer temple complex of Prasat Muang Singh.
