Identifying Ecosystems in the Outdoor Classroom

During the Environment and Ecology Unit, Year 7 students are being challenged to apply their knowledge gained in class to collect data on living and non-living parts of the Outdoor Classroom ecosystem. All Year 7 students were able to collect data using light meters, humidity sensors and temperature probes to compare different habitats. They were also able to collect invertebrate organisms, identify the organisms and their mode of nutrition to start to build food webs of each habitat.
