Bangkok Primary Choral Festival 2025

A Celebration of Music, Creativity and Collaboration

The Bangkok Primary Choral Festival took place earlier in February, bringing together 16 schools and nearly 350 children for an inspiring week of music, performance and creative expression. This festival was a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to engage in a variety of artistic disciplines, including singing workshops, art, drama, and dance, all designed to deepen their appreciation for the performing arts. A highlight of the week was the chance to work with renowned guest musician Lin Marsh, whose expertise and passion for music enriched the students’ learning experience.

The festival centered around the musical story “Song of the Earth,” composed by Lin Marsh herself, which tells the tale of an Emperor and a Nightingale. Throughout the week, students explored the themes of the story through movement, expression, and vocal techniques, honing their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. The festival not only nurtured their musical abilities but also encouraged collaboration, confidence, and creativity.

The event concluded with a spectacular culminating concert in a packed theatre, where students showcased their hard work and dedication by performing “Song of the Earth.” The performance was a beautiful blend of choral singing and expressive storytelling, leaving the audience captivated.

A huge congratulations to the 75 talented students from Years 3-6 who represented our school with enthusiasm and skill. Their commitment to rehearsals, eagerness to learn, and passion for music truly shone throughout the festival. Events like these not only celebrate the joy of music but also create lifelong memories and friendships, inspiring the next generation of young performers.
