Building Kindness and Creativity in Key Stage 2

Promoting Digital Citizenship

Our Digital Leaders, enthusiastic volunteers from Year 5 and Year 6, have been busy throughout Term 2, meeting every Tuesday lunchtime to design vibrant posters reminding their peers about the importance of kindness and thoughtfulness when communicating online.

Using images from the popular game Brawl Stars, the posters are designed to resonate with students and encourage positive online behaviour. Last week, these posters were displayed around the Key Stage 2 buildings as a constant reminder for digital kindness. We are incredibly proud of our Digital Leaders’ dedication and creativity and encourage you to discuss the poster messages with your children.

In addition to promoting online kindness, these talented Digital Leaders are also building an arcade machine! They sourced materials, helped assemble the machine and are now coding games using MakeCode Arcade. This exciting project not only develops valuable coding and engineering skills but also fosters creativity and teamwork.

We hope the arcade machine will be ready for indoor play, especially on hot or high-pollution days and the students are eager to share it with the wider school community.

Hi-Five to these Digital Leaders as they continue to innovate, inspire and create!
