Bangkok Patana School welcomed Dr Ross Osmun as our Musician in Residence. His passion for music and teaching inspired students across Year levels. A renowned pianist and music professor from Bishop’s University, Dr. Osmun brings a wealth of experience in performance, composition and education. His visit included a series of mini recitals, private piano lessons and engaging classes with a special focus on film music and interpretation, transporting students and staff to a new world of music.

Throughout his residency, Dr Osmun offered invaluable guidance to budding musicians, encouraging them to explore emotional depth and technical precision. Students in Years 7–12 participated in performances and received individual feedback that ignited their confidence and creativity. Highlights included a piano masterclass and collaborative lessons with few Secondary piano enthusiasts. His sessions instilled a deeper love for music and left a lasting impression on students.
