Celebrating European Languages Day

Celebrating European Languages Day

Celebrated across Europe on the 26th of September…

Year 9 students celebrated European Languages Day by exploring European countries during their World Languages lesson. They learned fascinating facts and created detailed fact files or guides, enhancing their global competence and intercultural understanding. This project fostered creativity and collaboration, encouraging discussions about diversity and cultural awareness.
By delving into different languages, traditions and histories, students gained valuable insights into what it means to be a global citizen. This experience highlighted the importance of language in bridging cultures and building connections, reminding us to appreciate both our differences and similarities in today’s interconnected world.
European World Languages Day is celebrated on the 26th of September and its aim is to encourage language learning across Europe.
