Bangkok Patana Hosts First Ever Fencing Invitational

Bangkok Patana Hosts First Ever Fencing Invitational

Foil and Epee events across multiple age groups

Bangkok Patana School proudly hosted its first Fencing Invitational tournament on June 7th in partnership with Ying Fencing Bangkok. This marked a significant milestone bringing together over 100 participants from clubs and schools across Bangkok. This inaugural tournament was approved by the Thailand Fencing Federation, with athletes’ results contributing to national ranking points.

The invitational featured foil and epee events across multiple age groups. Athletes competed with great determination, showcasing their growing skill, focus and sportsmanship. For many, it was their first opportunity to experience the intensity and excitement of a competitive fencing environment, and to do so on home ground made it even more special.

The event was designed to provide a welcoming and supportive introduction to competition for new fencers while also offering a high-quality, structured event for more experienced athletes. The energy in the hall was electric, with parents, coaches and teammates cheering each other on.

A big thank you to Ying Fencing, whose expert guidance and logistical support helped ensure a professional and smooth-running event. Their commitment to growing the sport in schools has played a key role in developing fencing at Bangkok Patana. A big thank you to the BTS Group who came aboard as the tournament sponsor.

The success of our first invitational sets a strong foundation for future events and continued growth of fencing within our school sport programme; contributing to the world of opportunity at Bangkok Patana!
