Junior Enterprise Entrepreneurs
The Secondary Lounge was filled with colourful stalls for the annual Junior Enterprise Market Day.
Year 10 entrepreneurs have the chance to test their business acumen in the Junior Enterprise elective. The students who choose the eight-week programme organise themselves into teams and draw up a business plan based around a chosen product or service before the project culminates in Market Day. At the annual event, the ‘companies’ sell their wares during lunchtime to test their business plans and sales abilities. For the other students, this means the opportunity to eat delicious food, pick up a tasty drink or a few souvenirs. This year’s creative businesses included What’s the Scoop, Dough Time and Nacho’s Smacho. The programme provides the participating students with an invaluable, real-world learning experience, which we hope stirs some entrepreneurial sparks!
