Aspiring to leadership, new to leadership (last 2 years)
How can middle leaders make successful change? By developing all-important people-centred core leadership skills, along with focussing on key aspects of what each leadership job entails, this course will enable delegates to face new leadership roles with confidence. Areas of particular focus will include motivating others, developing teams, running effective meetings, communication, giving feedback, having tough conversations and balancing excellent teaching and excellent leading.
Our training focusses on two common issues for new middle leaders. First, tension between expectations from above versus from the team, and second, tension between line management versus collegiality.
Leadership skills will be developed through the use of real-life scenarios and a variety of hands-on practical activities.
