The Magic of Diverse Cultures
Celebrating the Year of the Snake
Vibrant celebrations marked Bangkok Patana’s welcome to the Year of the Snake 2025, a symbol of wisdom and transformation. The joyful colours of red and gold were found throughout the campus and in Primary School, the children were excited for the annual Lunar New Year assembly.
This year, the assembly kicked off with engaging storytelling and spectacular performances from our Gymnastics and Dance academies. The students and staff joined in a spirited rendition of “Gōng xǐ gōng xǐ gōng xǐ nǐ ya,” followed by an electrifying showcase of traditional Thai Chinese dragon and lion dancers, accompanied by rhythmic drumming.
Like our other cultural celebrations – Christmas, Loy Krathong, Songkran, and International Day – the Lunar New Year offers a precious window into diverse traditions and stories. What makes these gatherings truly special is how they highlight both our differences and similarities, creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. The Lunar New Year celebration perfectly exemplifies what we do best at Bangkok Patana: bringing people together as one united family.
