Challenging lunchtime Aquathon session for Year 5 and 6 students

This week some Year 5 and 6 students rose to the opportunity to take part in a fun and challenging lunchtime Aquathon session as part of our Monthly Movement initiative. This exciting event combined swimming and running, giving students the chance to push their limits while enjoying a supportive and energetic atmosphere.

Students had the freedom to choose their challenge distance, with some opting for the Splash & Dash, a short and speedy burst of activity, while others took on the Tide Chaser, testing their endurance. For those wanting the ultimate challenge, the Ocean Warrior provided the toughest test of stamina and determination.

The event began in the pool, with students completing their chosen swim before transitioning quickly into their running shoes for the final stage.

The aquathon was a fantastic way to promote fitness and resilience, with every participant showing great enthusiasm and effort. Whether aiming for a personal best or simply embracing the experience, all students demonstrated a positive attitude towards movement and challenge.

With our Monthly Movement activities continuing to provide engaging opportunities, we look forward to seeing even more students take part in future events!
