Old Skool Sports Day

Red Light Green Light!

In the final week before half-term, our Year 12 and 13 students transformed the Front Hard Court into a vibrant arena inspired by the hit series ‘Squid Game.’ Organised by our enthusiastic senior delegates, the event featured ‘guards’ in playful pink attire wielding water guns, adding a splash of excitement to the day.

The festivities kicked off with a lively twist on ‘Red Light, Green Light,’ where students hopped on one foot toward the finish line, all under the watchful eye of Hanseol, our very own “doll.” Laughter echoed as participants balanced fun and competition.

Next up was a spirited Tug-of-War, with teams formed through a cheeky selection process, showcasing strength and camaraderie. The excitement continued with five-legged races, ‘Get-Into-Groups,’ ‘Over and Under,’ and the uproarious ‘Congo Rock-Paper-Scissors,’ each game drenching participants in joy and water.

The day culminated in a nail-biting rock-paper-scissors tiebreaker between our esteemed Heads of Year, Mr Stuart and Ms Dale, and in a thrilling finish Year 12 emerged victorious, their cheers resonating throughout the campus.

“The morning was simultaneously the most divided yet united our Seniors had ever been. An unforgettable end to Old School Sports Day for Year 13s and an initiation for the 12s,” said Amaya Fahr, Year 13.
