Patana Pathways – Nicholas
Next stop UBC!
“The area of STEM has always been a keen interest of mine throughout my academic years”, recalls our TigerSharks captain, Nicholas.
Nicholas’s Patana Pathway started in Year 10 and has been a prominent figure in the swim team ever since. As part of Community Engagement, Nicholas served as the Vice President of Hand2Heart and was also part of Project Star and Cube Care.
When asked why chemistry, Nicholas remarked, “Chemistry in particular, is a subject that comes more naturally to me than others and is one that I enjoy because I get to learn about how the matter in our world interacts. Furthermore, I believe that the application of Maths within Chemistry makes the subject even more interesting!”
Nicholas is eagerly looking forward to the next chapter in his life, learning new aspects about chemistry. “I’m excited to see what my future holds, how I can use the knowledge about chemistry that I’ve learned from school and university and use it in real world scenarios”, remarked Nicholas.
Nicholas has accepted an offer from The University of British Columbia to pursue Chemistry.
Wishing you the best, Nicholas!
