Finally, the day of departure for the first week of Primary Residential Visits has arrived! After three years without Residential Visits due to the pandemic, our young students were filled with anticipation and excitement as they said goodbye to their parents and loaded their luggage onto the waiting buses. Each participating Year group’s journey will be tied in to their current curriculum themes, focusing on the environment and our interactions with it.
Residential Visits are about far more than the curriculum though. This time spent outside of the classroom and away from home gives Key Stage 2 students the opportunity to achieve independence and responsibility. It also the perfect chance for the children to try new things and be risk takers.
Brief updates on the Residential Visits will be published on each Year group’s blog. The second week of Primary Residential Visits will start on 6th February, followed by Year 3 Residential Visits in March. We hope you all have a fabulous week!
