The Whole School Together!
First whole school assembly for the academic year 2024/25
Community is valuable to Bangkok Patana School, and we value the events that bring us together. So it is with the first Whole School Assembly which brings together teachers and students from Primary School all the way through to our Year 13s. It was also lovely to have a few parents who joined us!
The assembly was very ably MC’d by two Year 6 students who showed such confidence addressing the large audience. As has been a long tradition, the community reviewed some of the Patana ‘summer selfies’, which showcased our students, parents and staff being active during the long term break. There was music by a very talented Primary School drummer and from our Secondary Jazz Ensemble. Kudos to these musicians for being able to perform so early in the year, with not many classes to prepare!
Our Head of School, Mr Chris Sammons addressed the assembly, welcoming those new to the community and entreating everyone assembled to be true guardians of the community, “…to respect each other and respect our incredible differences.” He asked that we honour the people who came before us and to be pioneers ourselves, looking for the next ideas that make a difference.
Before the assembly ended, everyone was reminded of the upcoming Fun Run, which will be held on 29th September at Rama IX park. Get your registration in now! See you in your active gear in less than a month.
