A Celebration of Stories!

The Secondary campus transformed into a literary wonderland as students and staff celebrated World Book Day in style! From classic heroes to modern icons, the hallways and classrooms were filled with an incredible mix of beloved book characters, bringing stories to life with creativity and flair.

Students embraced the spirit of the day, donning costumes inspired by their favourite books—wizards, detectives, dystopian rebels and even magical creatures roamed. Not to be outdone, teachers joined the fun, with the English department opting for a ‘genre dress-up’ that had everyone guessing their book references, whilst the Chemistry department dressed up as (no points for guessing), Einstein!

Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students joined in on the fun participating in many activities, creating a headband with their favourite posters of books and Key Stage 2 students were challenged to match a member of the Library team to their favourite book – now that was a hard one!

From Harry Potter to Sherlock Holmes, Vengeful Mother to Bo Peep, the diversity of characters on display showcased the wide range of literary worlds that inspire us all. As students and staff posed for photos, exchanged book recommendations and celebrated their favorite reads, World Book Day proved once again why stories have the power to unite and ignite imaginations.
