Year 3 learn how music can be used to describe things
Year 3 students at Bangkok Patana have been learning how composers use music to describe things and places…
Last week Year 3 students learned how music can be used to describe a calm place such as a peaceful tropical beach. This week, they are learning how music can be used to describe an exciting or dramatic place such as a volcano! They learned the importance of tempo, pitch, rhythm, structure, timbre, dynamics, and texture and how to control these elements of music effectively. They then picked up their instruments and played their own exciting music to match the mood of the volcano!
