Year 4 Entrepreneurs Get a Taste of the Fair!
Young Entrepreneurs in the making..
The Year 4 shared area was buzzing with excitement recently as students stepped into the world of entrepreneurship—with a twist of fairground fun!
To kick off our Young Entrepreneurship unit, Year 4 was transformed into a lively fair filled with teacher-designed games. From skill-based challenges to luck-filled stations, the students enthusiastically rotated through the different games.
But this wasn’t just about fun—it was smart business research. After experiencing the fair, students became evaluators, thinking critically about what made each game enjoyable and popular. They discussed questions like:
- Which games were the most successful—and why?
- What elements encouraged people to keep coming back?
- How do design, challenge and atmosphere influence a player’s experience?
This active launch helped lay the foundation for what’s coming next: Year 4 students will now become young entrepreneurs, creating their very own fair games! All of the proceeds will go to charity.
Over the next few weeks, Year 4 students will design and build their own games using recyclable materials and host their own fair to showcase their creativity and business sense.
This cross-curricular project blends design thinking, sustainability, maths, writing and collaboration. Most of all, it nurtures confidence and creativity in every child.
We can’t wait to see the ideas come to life—and to welcome you to our Year 4 Fair soon!
