Year 5 Space Expo

Curiosity and inquiry drive Year 5 learning

The captivating journey of Year 5’s space-themed learning reached its culmination as students invited parents into their classrooms for a Space Expo. Eager to share their findings to the driving question, “How does space exploration impact humanity?”, each group presented their chosen line of inquiry. With a collection of insightful “need to know questions” serving as their compass, groups delved into focused research and created informative, engaging presentations.

This project was predominantly student-led, showcasing the students’ natural inquisitiveness, self-motivation and unwavering determination, leading them to this grand finale. With pride, they showcased their findings through a diverse array of products such as interactive games, educational posters, diagrams, challenging quizzes, poetry and intricate models, just to name a few. Undoubtedly, this successful event marked an impressive conclusion to the academic year. From Year 5 it’s over and out…almost!
