The front hardcourt was buzzing with energy as students and teachers gathered to witness the annual Teachers vs Students Basketball match. The atmosphere was electric as players from different Year groups stepped up to represent the student side.

From the opening whistle, the game promised excitement. The teachers began with clear control, moving the ball with quick passes and impressive coordination that showed plenty of experience on the court. Their early teamwork paid off when Mr Meadows opened the scoring with a well executed finish under the basket, giving the teachers an early lead.

The students were quick to respond. Only minutes later, Joshua delivered one of the highlights of the game. Taking matters into his own hands, he drove past the defense, before finishing with a smooth euro step that ignited the crowd and left the teachers team dazed.

Not long after, Coach Carlos showed his flair on the offensive end with a shimmy move toward the basket. Just when it seemed he had the finish secured, Arsh stepped in with a perfectly timed block.

One of the most unexpected moments came with the appearance of Karan, usually known for his football skills. Entering as a super substitute, his ambitious play drew excitement from both teams and the crowd alike.

Throughout the match, the teachers continued to dominate. The link up between Mr Meadows and Coach Carlos was particularly effective, drawing comparisons from spectators to the classic LeBron and Kyrie partnership, as they combined for several smooth plays and key baskets.

Leading the student team was Krish, not yet Coach Carter, rallying the team with determination. Between Mr Meadows’ relentless rebounding and several daring attempts from the students including a near dunk from Joshua and a great layup from IngIng the game remained competitive until the final minutes.

In the end, the teachers secured the victory 30–23. The match also held special significance for the Year 13 students, many of whom participated in what may be their final Teachers vs Students game before graduation. For them, it was a memorable send off and perhaps the start of a new tradition when they return one day as alumni for a Alumni vs Teachers game.
