In this first episode of our TAPS special series, we meet Purnima Runglertbutr, the creative force behind Teachers as Practitioners (TAPS), a community initiative that celebrates creativity, artistry and professional identity through practice.

Launching its second edition this year, TAPS will culminate in a launch event and exhibition at Bangkok Patana School in May 2027. Throughout this special series, we’ll be speaking with members of the TAPS community, from organisers and collaborators to the practising artists themselves, exploring their creative journeys, inspirations and experiences.

Purnima shares her own artistic background, the vision behind TAPS, and how the initiative is creating opportunities for members of our community to engage with and showcase their creative practice. She also explains how staff and community members can get involved in this year’s programme.
