GymSpire 2026: Inspire, Motivate and Connect

By Georgina Wright, Cross Campus Head Gymnastics Coach

GymSpire 2026 brought our gymnasts together for a fantastic day centred around three key themes: Inspire, Motivate and Connect.

The event gave students the opportunity to step outside their usual training, and work with external experts across a range of activities designed to complement their development as gymnasts. From strength and flexibility to coordination, balance and body control, every session challenged our gymnasts in a different way.

‘Gym with Joy’ delivered exciting Bars and Floor Masterclasses, giving gymnasts the chance to explore more advanced skills while developing the shapes, control and technique that underpin the core gymnastic elements.

Bangkok Aerial Space introduced the students to Aerial Silks, combining strength, flexibility and coordination as they learnt how to move, climb and create shapes in the air. An impromptu performance from the skilled coaches left our students in absolute awe.

Our Power Yoga session with Chris, a yoga and somatic expert, provided another type of challenge. Students tested their core strength, endurance and balance while developing greater awareness and control of their bodies.

There was plenty of fun and friendly competition too… during our Challenge Champs, gymnasts went head to head in a series of challenges, including seeing who could hold a handstand the longest or handstand walk the furthest, just to name a few.

More importantly, GymSpire was about bringing our gymnastics community together. It gave students from across the programme the opportunity to train alongside one another and their coaches, try something new, challenge themselves and share their love of gymnastics in a fun and supportive environment.

Each student also received a GymSpire gift bag, providing a few keepsakes from the day and a reminder of the experiences they shared.

GymSpire 2026 was a brilliant celebration of movement, learning and community, and a day designed to leave our gymnasts feeling inspired, motivated and connected.
