A Sweet Success for Flood Relief

A Sweet Success for Flood Relief

Small Hands, Big Hearts

Year 5 students hosted a fantastic Bring, Buy and Bake Sale – and what an incredible event it turned out to be! In the days leading up to the sale, students threw themselves wholeheartedly into preparations. Many of them spent their afternoons in the kitchen, measuring flour, cracking eggs and decorating cupcakes, cookies and brownies with tremendous care. Others took thoughtful time to sort through their toy boxes at home, selecting pre‑loved books, games and toys that they felt would make another child smile. Their enthusiasm and generosity were wonderful to see.

When the big day finally arrived, Year 5 students stepped confidently into their roles as salespeople. From the moment the doors opened, they greeted visitors with warm smiles, explained their products clearly, and helped younger children choose items that suited both their interests and pocket money. It was heart‑warming to watch them encourage Year 1 and 2 students, patiently answering questions and offering friendly recommendations.

Their teamwork was equally impressive. Whether arranging tables, restocking trays of baked goods or giving each other quick pep‑talks between customers, Year 5 demonstrated maturity and cooperation throughout the event. Their hard work paid off – not only did they raise an impressive amount, but they also created a lovely community atmosphere enjoyed by all who attended.

A huge well done to all our Year 5 bakers, organisers and sales stars. Your leadership, creativity and kindness made the Bring, Buy and Bake Sale a memorable success, raising over THB 107,000 to support flood relief in the South of Thailand. Thank you to all families who supported the event with donations, home baking and enthusiastic shopping. What a wonderful celebration of community spirit!
