Football Academy

As a British School we have a proud tradition of playing and enjoying football. It follows then that we have a large and vibrant Football Academy to support our students. The Football Academy offers a recreational and selective pathway at all age groups from Under 9 to Varsity. We aim to play an attractive brand of possession based football, with a winning mentality. We therefore recognise the need for all players to become skilled and confident technicians, who enjoy and are comfortable in possession.Our aim is to develop players with a real game understanding which will include the four principles of play: attacking, transition to attack, defending and transition to defend. A growth mindset will be encouraged to create an enduring passion for learning the game.

Our programme takes place before and after school as well as on Saturdays. Students regularly participate in fixtures against other international schools as well as other academy teams from around Bangkok, including those hailing from Thai professional leagues.

Our teams are highly successful in BISAC, SEASAC and FOBISIA regular visitors to the podium. We play both 7-a-side and 11-a-side competitively and aim to equip players to transition to college or professional football beyond Bangkok Patana should they have the desire to do so. The Football Academy hosts several tournaments annually, which attract teams from all over the region.
