Sport For All
At Bangkok Patana School we believe that sports are a powerful vehicle for learning and developing character. Sports play a big part in our curriculum and extra-curricular provision. All students participate in physical education at an age appropriate level from Nursery to Year 13 with specialist Physical Education Teachers. Our Physical Education curriculum not only includes traditional sports such as football, basketball and volleyball, but due to our fantastic facilities we can also include activities such as swimming, climbing, kayaking and dance. We understand that students must move to learn and learn to move.
Within our Extra-curricular programme, we offer a huge array of recreational sports and activities to encourage students to be fit, healthy and active. We offer horse-riding, taekwondo, Thai boxing, Pilates, spinning, golf, badminton, climbing, squash, table tennis and more!
For those students who strive to wear the Orange and Black and become a “Tiger”, we offer a competitive sports programme that is second to none. From Year 3 upwards there are a range of opportunities for students to trial and then train to represent the school. We proudly participate in the Bangkok International School Athletic Conference (BISAC), South-East Asian Schools Activities Conference (SEASAC) and the Federation of British International Schools of Asia (FOBISIA). We strive for podium finishes whilst staying true to our Bangkok Patana playing philosophy of also developing individuals who demonstrate being a good sport. Our year is arranged into three competitive seasons, with each season having two to three options for each age group (Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Junior Varsity and Varsity). Our core seasonal sports are football, swimming, volleyball, basketball, rugby/touch, badminton, softball, tennis, cross country, track and field, climbing and sailing.
