Did You Dodge?
Dodge. Bond. Repeat.
Last week’s Senior Dodgeball Tournament wasn’t just about dodging, ducking and diving, it was about showing up, teaming up and finding common ground.
For Year 12 and Year 13 students, the event offered a break from routine and a chance to connect across Year groups, competing and to collaborating. The matches were fast-paced and full of energy, but the real highlight came before the first ball was thrown: the team huddles.
In those quick moments before each round, students rallied together — sharing strategies, cracking jokes, and cheering each other on. It didn’t matter who was in which Year group; everyone was in it together!
“There was this shift,” reflected Monika, Helen and Ing Ing in Year 13, “We weren’t just classmates anymore — we were teammates.”
Win or lose, the takeaway was clear: working together felt good. And in a year packed with deadlines and decisions, that sense of unity was a welcome change.
With Seniors Sports Day on the horizon, the Dodgeball Tournament has definitely set the tone – here’s to more fun!
