Year 10 Fine ‘Art’venture
Drawing Outside the Lines
Who needs a studio when you’ve got sunshine, sketchbooks and a campus full of inspiration? Our Year 10 Fine Art crew kicked off the year with a twist, trading desks for camping chairs and heading outdoors to explore tone, texture and mark-making in the wild (well, semi-wild).
Armed with pencils and sketchbook, they turned leaves into linework and shadows into stories. And judging by their reflections, nature might just be the best classroom:
“It’s so different from working inside—feels more alive.”
“Real plants are way cooler to draw than photos.”
“I didn’t realise our campus had so much to sketch!”
“It’s calm, quiet and kind of magical out here.”
No screens, no stress – just art, air and a brilliant beginning to their creative journey.
