IBCP Business Students Showcase Innovation
IBCP Students Compete in Global Innovation Challenge
Our IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) Business specialists recently had an incredible opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial and strategic thinking skills by participating in the Hult International Business School’s Future Leaders Challenge (HFLC). This initiative perfectly aligned with the practical focus of their Business Specialism, offering students a platform to pitch innovative ideas to a global audience.
The HFLC is a prestigious global entrepreneurship and innovation competition. This year it partnered with FC Barcelona through the Barça Innovation Hub. Students worked collaboratively over 11 weeks to address a real-world client brief centred on sports-technology innovation—think wearable tech, athlete performance tools, and health and wellness solutions.
Throughout the challenge, students employed core business concepts such as customer profiling and market segmentation, value proposition design, competitive analysis and pitching strategies. They developed solutions, presented their ideas and competed for advancement to regional and global finals, gaining authentic experience in professional business environments while interacting with Hult professors and industry experts.
This was a fantastic learning curve for our students, giving them hands-on exposure to the demands of global business and innovation.
