A Piano Gathering

A Piano Gathering

An intimate piano sharing session

Before the end of last term, students from the Instrumental Music Department gathered for an intimate piano sharing session. Unlike a formal concert, this event was all about connection: an afternoon of listening, learning and playing together in a relaxed, supportive space.

During lunchtime, students walked over to the Arts Centre to perform a short piece of music that they felt most confident playing. The audience included teachers and fellow students, creating a calm and encouraging space for performance.

The gathering was designed to support learning through experience, allowing students to develop confidence, stage awareness, and a sense of musical community. Events like this form an important part of instrumental learning, offering students regular opportunities to share their progress and develop confidence within a supportive musical environment. Activities such as this also reflect the values of The Instrumental Music Department, where students are encouraged to enjoy music, support one another, and grow through regular performance opportunities

Led by our Instrumental Music Piano Teacher, Mr Wanpiya (Jeans) Kittikunsiri, the gathering reflected the department’s values: enjoying music, supporting one another and growing through regular performance opportunities.
