House Quiz Tests Knowledge

The IB Learner Profile tells us that learners strive to be “exploring knowledge across a range of disciplines” – Bangkok Patana’s Secondary students certainly showed this in the House Quiz!

In one of the biggest events in the House calendar, students from all four Houses excitedly gathered in four different locations around the school campus to prove who knew the most. There were four quiz categories: Arts and Culture; Science and Technology; Current and World Affairs; and – of course – General Knowledge!

Would you know whether Japan or the UK has a bigger population?  Which company is worth more: Amazon or Apple?  Who is the main character in the novel ‘The Bone Sparrow’?  Which form of energy do we receive from the sun? Or which team are the NBA champions?  Our students proved they do!

As always, it was an exciting event and every House competed enthusiastically for the glory of winning the House Quiz Cup. However, there could only be one winner and this year it was… PHUKET!  Hot on the heels of winning in Year 8 Connections, Phuket gained another victory and proved to be the most knowledgeable House on the day.  Everyone would agree that the real winner was House Spirit, shown in abundance by students from all four Houses.
