Nursery at the 7-11

7-11 stores are everywhere, including in Nursery where the children are using their familiarity for play and learning. Running the store, or acting as a customer, encourages children in speaking and using mathematics. The children also used their maths skills in play with cars and animals. How many elephants in a row? How many cars are on the highway? Another popular learning aid is building blocks, which are very helpful in sharpening thinking skills as well as laying a foundation of understanding shapes and geometry. While the children enjoy their days in a playful environment, they are unconsciously laying the building blocks of future lessons as they learn through play.
