British Olympic Climbing youth coach, Ian Dunn surprised the climbing team with a visit to share his tips, experience and knowledge
On Thursday afternoon, Bangkok Patana’s Climbing Tigers were surprised by a visit from Ian Dunn, the British Olympic Climbing youth coach! He led the session sharing his experience and lots of climbing tips at the invitation of our own coach, Luke Soithongsuk. Lots of Ian’s exercises focused on the ‘mental’ approach to climbing, giving our students an opportunity to practice visualisation techniques that will help them at our upcoming climbing meet with Harrow and ISB, as well as the upcoming FOBISIA competition. It was great for our climbers and coaches to be involved with such a fantastic opportunity, being taught by one of the world’s leading coaches in the sport.
If you are interested in trying out climbing, in Block 4 of our ECA programme there is a Primary recreational climbing club on Wednesdays, open to Year 5 and 6. Secondary recreational sessions will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, we hope to see lots of new faces joining us!
