Patana Pathways – Max Masson
Join us in celebrating Grad’23 Patana Pathways!
Faced with a difficult decision between two Early Decision offers (IE University Madrid and Loyola Marymount University), Max Masson spent his summer participating in a two-week programme focused on the Sports and Entertainment industry at Loyola Marymount University. While he cites this course as one of the “best experiences of [his] life”, Max eventually decided to commit to IE University Madrid, to study Business Administration.
As a fan of football, basketball and F1 racing, Max is interested in pursuing the business side of sports, particularly in marketing and sales. Through his (I)GCSEs and IB programme, he developed his passion for business, in addition to geography. In fact, Max’s favourite memory at Bangkok Patana was his Year 10 Geography trip. He said he “had a great time collaborating with [his] friends and teachers”, despite having dislocating and tearing all of the ligaments in his left knee just days before the departure!
Looking forward to the start of his new pathway at IE University Madrid, Max said he will miss “the supportive and challenging environment” at Bangkok Patana School. Fortunately, there are many opportunities and a wide variety of pathways for Max to explore within his programme of Business Administration, depending on the interests that he will develop through this course. Looking back on his 13-year span at Bangkok Patana, Max reflected that his proudest achievement was “persevering and achieving [his] goals throughout the IB Programme” – both in terms of performing well academically and in receiving Early Admission to his dream university.
