Parents Experience Counselling First-Hand

Our Primary and Secondary Social and Emotional Counsellors recently hosted their first whole-school parent coffee morning; a truly engaging opportunity for parents to experience what counselling looks and feels like at Patana.

Throughout the multi-part workshop, parents were invited to step into the world of counselling through both Primary and Secondary perspectives. In the Primary session, counsellors guided parents through an expressive, art-based activity commonly used with students to help them build deeper connections with themselves and those around them. Meanwhile, the Secondary team brought counselling to life through a three-scene role play, offering a realistic glimpse into how sessions may unfold for older students.

Together, these experiences gave parents valuable insight into the counselling environment — a safe, supportive space where students can explore their thoughts and feelings, and where meaningful understanding and positive change can take place. The sessions were complemented by an overview of how counselling supports the many aspects of Bangkok Patana students’ lives.

Thank you to all the parents who attended, and for your openness and active participation, which made the morning so meaningful.
