Back to the Beat, Charn Rediscovers His Love for Making Music

Graduated from Bangkok Patana in 2016, Charn went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University in 2020, followed by an MBA from the Sasin School of Management in 2025.

His love for music began at Patana, where picking up the French horn for the first time opened a world of feeling and creativity. Among the teachers who encouraged his musical journey was Mr Larking, whose influence stayed with him long after he left the music rooms of school.

In his first year at university in 2017, Charn watched his friends perform at an acoustic show. Inspired, he decided to learn the guitar, and before long, nightly jam sessions became a part of his university routine. Those evenings after class were filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of making music together.

After graduating in 2020, the group drifted apart as they each began new chapters in their lives. Yet, in 2023, they decided to reunite and make music once more, this time with a little more life experience and a few more stories to tell. Charn and his friend Ray began meeting once a month to write songs, often completing one in a single evening.

Two years later, their creative journey led to the release of their debut album, Nostalgia on Mp3, launched on 29 October 2025. The album blends indie, rap, hip-hop, pop and rock into a “Thai Inter” style that reflects the group’s shared experiences. With seven tracks capturing themes of youth, love, and friendship, Nostalgia on Mp3 is both a tribute to the “good old days” and a reminder that the joy of music never truly fades.
