Empowering Youth Voices

Bangkok Patana School hosted BPSMUN 2025 welcoming over 110 delegates from seven international schools across Bangkok. The event brought together students with a shared interest in global affairs, diplomacy and collaborative problem-solving.

From the opening session to the final gavel, the day was marked by thoughtful debate and sharp negotiation across seven committees, including DISEC, ECOSOC, UNSC, UN Women, UNHCR, SPECPOL, and USCC. Delegates tackled complex topics ranging from international security to refugee rights, demonstrating not only their research and public speaking skills but also their ability to listen, adapt and build consensus.

The conference was led by Secretary-Generals Chongrong and Arevik, Year 13 students, whose months of preparation, alongside the guidance of Mr Ghazi and Ms Curwood ensured the event ran smoothly. Patana students played a central role in the day’s operations, with Dash, Henry, Payton, Clara, and Amber serving as Parliamentarians and Zhewen, Richard and Dash chairing committees with clarity and confidence.

Several Patana delegates were recognised for their outstanding contributions. Phineas received both Best Delegate in ECOSOC and Overall Best Delegate. Henry earned Best Delegate in USCC, while Tataya received an Honourable Mention in DISEC.

Beyond awards, BPSMUN 2025 was a space for students to engage with global issues in a meaningful way. It was a day that highlighted the value of preparation, the importance of respectful dialogue, and the strength of collaboration across schools. Patana students represented the school with professionalism and purpose, making a strong impression both in leadership and delegate roles.

Congratulations to all who took part!
