Landscapes of Learning

This term, Year 7 students have been developing their retrieval practice skills by applying prior learning in linear perspective and expressive mark-making to real-life drawing. Stepping outside their classrooms, they explored our beautiful Bangkok Patana School campus, where nature and architectural structures coexist in harmony.

Inspired by their surroundings, students carefully observed and captured quiet corners, shaded pathways and striking viewpoints, transforming familiar spaces into thoughtful landscape artworks. Through this process, they strengthened their understanding of depth, proportion and visual storytelling, while gaining confidence in translating observation into creative expression.

The results are a collection of vibrant and personal pieces that celebrate both our learning culture and the unique environment we are fortunate to call our school.
