‘When You’re an Addams’
Year 7’s Addams Adventure
The Year 7 production of The Addams Family was nothing short of spectacular. The cast impressed with their talent, standout singers, actors and dancers. But what truly made this performance memorable was the spirit behind it. As Drama teacher Ms Ashworth reflected, “What I really loved about this show was the sense of ensemble and the teamwork; there was a very strong community created, of students being caring, supporting each other both on and off stage. “When you work on a show like this you do in a sense, create a family and in this case it was The Addams Family, a family we are delighted to have been a part of.”
Behind the scenes, the magic continued thanks to an exceptional creative team. Lilian praised Khun Rat, Secondary Art Technician, saying he “created the most incredible set; he is such a talent and a joy to work with. No job is too big and his imagination has no limits; he makes and creates, recycles and reinvents producing the most unique designs.” Lighting designer Khun Nat also earned high praise: “His lighting design was fantastic. He works long hours to ensure the show is beautifully lit and this particular performance had stunning effects.”
Bringing The Addams Family to life was a true team effort. From the meticulous work on makeup and costumes to the seamless handling of props and set changes, every backstage contribution played a vital role in the success of the production. The collaboration and dedication behind the scenes were as impressive as the performance on stage, proving that a show of this scale can only happen when everyone works together as a team.
