Year 5 Study World Changers

Year 5 Study World Changers

Year 5 investigate people who have changed the world.

Students in Year 5 are learning about World Changers, that is, people throughout history who have affected change. They researched names given to them by their teachers and then added others they felt need to be on the list, including modern day world changers. Working collaboratively, they researched these people and presented their findings to the rest of the class. Working collaboratively allows the students to learn from each other whilst challenging their own thinking. Students are also learning that ordinary people with an idea can affect change in the world.

We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference.”
