A Little Bit Naughty, A Whole Lot Brilliant!
Matilda Jr in Year 6
Last week, Year 6 well and truly took over the stage with two delightful performances of Matilda Jr, and what a show it was! From bold opening numbers to triumphant curtain calls, audiences were treated to fantastic singing, energetic dancing and confident acting – with plenty of laughter, cheering and happy tears along the way.
The Year 6 production is a much‑loved moment in the Primary school calendar, and excitement has been building for months. Weeks of Drama lessons and singing assemblies have paid off in a performance bursting with personality, teamwork and confidence.
There were lots of stand‑out moments, from brilliant solos to wonderfully dramatic Trunchbulls, but what really made the show special was its inclusive spirit. With two casts and multiple students sharing each lead role, everyone had a chance to shine. The result? Eight Matildas, six Trunchbulls and one incredible team effort pulling together on and off stage.
