Year 1 Launches their own Books!

Creativity and Growing Confidence

In the final week of term, our Year 1 classrooms were transformed into publishing spaces as children proudly unveiled their own non-fiction books. Following weeks of engaging learning about Thailand’s incredible wildlife, from hornbills and binturongs to pangolins and monitor lizards, the young authors were excited to share their expertise.

Each student carefully planned, wrote and illustrated their book, thoughtfully including features like a contents page, headings, captions and eye-catching front covers. Families joined the celebration, spending time with the children, listening to them read and hearing about their learning journeys.

The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement, with smiles all around. It was a joyful moment that highlighted not only the children’s curiosity and creativity, but also the confidence and progress they have made this year.
