Air Quality Update
Air Quality update following the announcement from the Ministry of Education…
School is open on 23rd January 2020. Although the Ministry of Education issued a notice for more schools to be closed, Bangkok Patana is not on that list.
We continue to closely monitor the air quality at school and in reference to the announcement by the Ministry of Education, which recommends action based on each school’s circumstances once the PM 2.5 levels in the vicinity of the school reaches 91 ug/m3 on the AQM Thai site. Unless the air quality changes substantially from the current status, school will be open tomorrow.
As we promised our community in 2019, we completed the installation of pre-cooled fresh air systems in all buildings by August 2019, which makes us well-prepared for this season. We will follow our school air quality policy, which is based on the US EPA standards and can be accessed here.
In the event of school closure, we will inform parents by sms, email, the front page of the school website and Facebook.
