Fine Arts, fashion and university advice at the Alumni Breakfast
For this year’s Alumni Breakfast, we welcomed Grad ’12 alumni, Lalina (Nina) Paisarnsrisin, to share her experience with Year 13 students. After graduating from Bangkok Patana, Nina attended the Rhode Island School of Design to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts Textiles and gained professional experience through her work with major brands in the fashion industry, including DKNY and Saturdays NYC, both located in New York City. She has recently returned to Bangkok to open her own food venture, Caffe Olives, and is working on additional design-related jobs. She spoke to Year 13 students about her latest sustainable meal delivery brand, Habit, where she currently focuses most of her creative energy. Year 13 students asked Nina any questions about applying for university, adjusting to living in a new country and gaining professional experience abroad, among other topics.
At this event, Year 13 students are also welcomed into the global Bangkok Patana Alumni Network. Mark Lanzuela, the Alumni and Social Media Coordinator, introduced Grad ’23 to the alumni programme, highlighting the various annual events, mentorship programmes and other opportunities available to them through the network.
