Angela Royle Fun Run – Thank You!
Thank you to all of our Fun Run participants!
The Angela Royle Fun Run on Saturday 1st October made for a day of remembrance, community camaraderie and charity support – all in a morning’s jog! First to start were the 5k runners, followed by the 3k and 1.5k, with many young runners deciding to up their game on the morning and partake in the longer races with their friends and families. Each participant received a commemorative medal for completion, and a big thank you to our event sponsors for snacks and treats. The funds raised will be supporting the installation of playground equipment at a rural school in Pang Wua Village, Wiang Haeng District, Chiang Mai in memory of Angela Royle. The proceeds are also allocated to help support our Secondary student-led community clubs: Smile Club and Habitat for Humanity. The Student Environmental Committee was also onsite to help with water bottle and bag check-in for participants, in addition to collecting used trainers to be sent with a former Bangkok Patana parent to donate to a rural village in Uganda later this year. Thank you to all who joined this year’s Fun Run in memory of Angela Royle – we look forward to running together again next time!
