COVID-19 Update 13th May 2021

Latest COVID-19 update

Dear Parents,

I can’t believe it’s almost mid-May! I hope you are keeping your spirits up and that your children are still able to have opportunities to experience levels of joy.

It will come as no surprise to you that the school campus will remain closed until at least 31st May as we continue to experience high positive COVID-19 numbers in Bangkok. Within our school community, we currently have seven active cases. We wish them all a speedy recovery. A reminder that if you or anyone within your immediate family tests positive, please contact Khun Patama, our Head Nurse, at pach@patana.ac.th.

Thank you to all of you who took time to fill out the recent Guiding Statements review survey. Over 90% of our community confirmed understanding and support of our current value statements, which was very pleasing to see. I will send you more details as we move through the review process.

Earlier this week we sent out a link to our most recent CSL survey. Thank you to those who have already completed it. If you have not already had a chance, please do complete the survey before tomorrow (Friday) at 2.30pm: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CSL3W4parents. We really value your feedback. Results will be shared in next week’s Patana News.

I’d like to share with you a video by Dena Rana (Grad ’19), who is in her second year in Media and Screen Studies at Northeastern University in the US. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. I think the positive, optimistic message is very timely as we continue to deal with this pandemic.

Hoping our Patana families continue to stay safe and well and I will update you again when I have any new information to share with you.

Best wishes,

Matt Mills

Head of School
