Dance Festival Challenge

Last weekend the Dance and Drama Academy launched a brand-new event; the BPS Dance Festival Challenge 2020. Around 200 students from nine different schools all over Thailand attended workshops, making the event a huge success.

There were many dance workshops in the morning involving our Bangkok Patana Academy Dance teachers along with guest teachers from Bangkok. Well-known actor and dancer LaJon Dantzler, star of dance films Step Up 2 and Stomp the Yard led an interactive workshop where the students enjoyed learning a new dance. Some even got up on stage and danced with him!

After lunch, the students made their way to the Theatre for the anticipated Dance Challenge. Teams were excited to show off the dance choreography they’ve been practicing for months. Bangkok Patana students were very excited to have placed in the top three in all age categories.
