Foundation Stage Photographers

Practicing photography provides a new perspective…

Foundation Stage children had a special photography workshop with Mr Mark Lanzuela, our Alumni and Social Media Coordinator, as part of their technology learning. Mr Mark told the children fun stories about the birds who have recently started to call his apartment home, flying in through the open balcony doors and perching on his shoulders. He also shared his amazing wildlife photographs taken around Thailand. Mr Mark compared the iPad camera lens with his own wide-angle lens to help the children understand how to take their own great photos.

After their discussion, Mr Mark led the children around the Foundation Stage garden to get some hands-on, practical experience with photography. The children enjoyed looking around the garden with a new perspective, looking carefully for something unique to photograph. This was a wonderful learning opportunity for the children, who were engaged throughout the entire lesson.
